YogaFit Retreats

A truly magical Yoga & Fitness retreat and experience. Here’s a little about the retreat from the founder of the company Lindsay Jay. The retreat is run as a family business by her, her brother Ken and his wife Antonia.

Pelvic Floor Workshop – Saturday 1st June 12-3pm.  

A condensed version of the full course. The pelvic floor workshop with teach you the fundamentals you need to know about how your pelvic floor works, how to correctly engage and relax the pelvic floor which is equally important for optimal function, and how to look after it during daily life and repair and prevent urge and stress issues as well as help symptoms of prolapse .

This is ideal for the following people

  • Those wanting to safeguard future health, prevention better than cure after all!
  • Are thinking of having a baby or are pregnant.
  • Have ever had an injury or surgery to your core section of your body or experience lower back pain.
  • Have a bowel condition such as Colitis, Crones or IBS.
  • If you have already been diagnosed with a bladder, bowl  or vaginal prolapse, urge problems, stress incontinence or general bladder weakness.

I have been a Personal Trainer for 9 years and could see that pelvic floor dysfunction was a major problem for many clients. Statistically 1 in 3 women have a some kind of dysfunction with the Pelvic Floor.  Previously I would refer clients to their GP and they would be referred to a physio to get help which can all take time. I also found the help they were getting seemed to be very minimal and left them often still struggling with symptoms and a lack of understanding. Now I provide an excellent program that literally takes the stress away.

In this workshop we take the foundations of the course and put them in to a fun and informative 3 hr session full of knowledge bombs to help you.

I have had comprehensive training so I can teach you how the pelvic floor works, about specific conditions and how to repair or substantially make a difference to your daily life.

*** Should you need it I can also refer you to a Women’s Health Specialist Physiotherapist based in Tonbridge. She can give you a full pelvic MOT and diagnosis without the wait from the NHS, which can be long sometimes so this offers a big relief and only costs from apx £70 – a minimal amount for complete peace of mind and understanding of the symptoms your experiencing.

Yoga Basics Workshop – Saturday 22nd June from 2-3.30pm

A  90 minute workshop focusing on Yoga breath (Prana) and Sun salutations (short flow useful to warm up the body and often used at the start of classes).We’ll be breaking down each component and finding ways to make your practice more effective for you. It will finish with a beautiful long meditation.

Ideal for all levels and experience

The venue will be confirmed closer to the date depending on numbers but it will be held in or near Hurstgreen.
